Happy New Year 2010!

It has been a while since I last posted on this blog. After the second posting, I have not been able to write about the food outlet that I visited.

2009 has left us and the new year has begun. 2010 will be an exciting year for everyone and I have promised myself to write more this time. The target this year is one review every week and hopefully I will be able to provide visitors of this blog photos of the places and the sampled food.

The areas that I will cover on the outlet is the outlet location, facilities and the service of the employee. On the food review it will be taste, presentation and serving size.

Before it is too late, I wish to all of you that the incoming days ahead is filled with success.

My Asam Pedas Ampang

We had a meeting in Excella Business Park in the morning. After the morning meeting, another discussion take place near lunch time. So everybody decided to have a lunch meeting at one of the restaurant nearby. Since one of us had visited My Asam Pedas Ampang, he suggested that we tried the asam pedas. Without hesitation, everyone agrees.

We drove to My Asam Pedas which is located besides Tesco Ampang. There is a big signboard with the owner's photo who is Linda Onn the radio presenter. Upon arriving, we saw that there are fishes in the tray for selection. However, the four of us decided to take the lunch set which comes with nasi putih, asam pedas ikan pari, ulam and rose syrup. Another add on were kalian ikan masin and sotong masak pedas.

The food was delivered quite fast and it was fresh. Tasted good especially the asam pedas and kailan. Since everybody choose the same set, we cannot make comparison to the other menus that they have. Some other day I will go again and try out the other dishes.

Breakfast at Kopitiam

Today I pay a visit to Old Town White Coffee at Bandar Kinrara. It is an outlet on its own building. Nicely done the decoration which is standard at all the other Old Town kopitiam.

I tried their western breakfast set with nanyang black coffee. Quite nice and reasonably priced. Will come back to try their other breakfast set such as nasi lemak sotong and bee hun goreng. The outlet also provide free WiFi for the patrons to get connected and browse the Net.

Hopitality at this partiular outlet is above average I would say. Thumbs up to the operator!
